Meet Neli

Research & Design Director

My name is Nelida Agosto, everyone calls me “Neli.”

I met Luis Cabrera in 2014 through a mutual colleague. We quickly became friends, so I began assisting him with website enhancements, marketing strategies, and redesigning the company image beginning with a spectacular modern logo and business card layout.

In my younger years, I was a 'Jane of many trades and master of some'. I worked a couple years with H&R Block gaining accounting/bookeeping and Quickbooks skills. I did quality control for several manufacturing companies where I learned the importance of effectiveness and efficiency. I gained management acumen as a union Shop-Stewart for Restaurant Associates in LaGuardia Airport... just to name a few.

I am an avid self-taught learner, designer, and researcher. I have a strong understanding in various fields like Computers, Software Design Programs, Graphic Arts, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Drafting, and Blueprints. I even attended Pinellas County Vocational-Technical Institute to learn about Optical Technologies, Interior Design and enhance my knowledge of Autocad Designing & Drafting.

In my middle years, I applied all my life long education and worked directly for an architect, a builder and for Pinellas County Public Works-Engineering Department as an Autocad Drafter. During my 12 years with the county, I was the team leader over several people. Our team designed many public works projects. I also was a liaison with general projects, where I was required to explain and help people understand the benefits of our projects and answer their questions. During that time, I acquired a certification from the American Society of Certified Engineering Technicians.

At Harris Corporation, a billion-dollar government contractor, I earned valuable big business experience working on a multi-million U.S. Census project, which helps me understand population statistics and trends.

After I retired from the county, I became an entrepreneur, focusing on establishing start-up companies and selling them. I was co-owner of an air conditioning company, a restaurant-nightclub and a furniture/mattress store.

I have had a passion for architecture and construction my entire life. My Real Estate journey began when I was a little girl. My father was a Master Mason and my construction role model. I remember fondly helping him on many home renovation projects and going with him to building worksites, for me these were exciting times. Generally, I would hand sketch each building my father worked on. I learned the entire construction process from observing contractors, asking key questions, reading blueprints to the last finishing touches for both residential and commercial projects.

Throughout my life, I have personally applied interior designing and completely several renovations on my own homes. I have working application and knowledge in all areas of Real Estate ventures, investments, repairs and design. My vacations almost always include visiting architecture sites like City Court Houses, Heritage Parks, National Landmarks, museums and occasionally New Home Models; because that's how much I love Real Estate.

While living in New York City, I was fortunate to witness the beginning construcition of the infamous "Twin Towers", unfortuantely, I never got the chance to see it completed. I have been to almost every museum, famous landmarks and actually walked all of Manhattan just to observe and admire the architectural building styles.

My overall experience places me in the unique position as Research & Design Director with Florida Property Homes, because I am that go to person behind the scenes helping to make things work smoothly.
